A monthly edition of Morning Person, featuring the best moments, recipes, articles, and recommendations from the month. Let’s dive into some November highlights!

November came in like a freight train, but after I recovered from the initial shock of the election, I emerged with much more clarity around how I want to create a life that’s aligned with my values. This month, I began a regular creative practice with many of you as we began The Artist’s Way, and started the first draft of my next book (!). I’m buying far fewer things, namely clothes, and I’ve been much more intentional around creating and tending to community, hosting friends for cozy meals (read on for a recap from Thanksgiving) as well as my first local Morning Person event in Portland this Friday! I have one month before I begin school again, to complete my master’s in addictions counseling, and while I truly couldn’t be more excited to go back, I’m savoring this slower pace and the opportunity to get back into my practices. Read on for:

  • Invitations to two events this week (!)

  • The most popular issue this month

  • A recap from my Thanksgiving weekend, with photos

  • My delicious solution for Thanksgiving leftovers

  • The outfit I can’t stop wearing
