Issue #223: Your Most-Asked Questions About the Van and More
Let's get into this AMA.

📚 Television by Lauren Rothery: Rothery’s debut (out today!)—described fittingly in the marketing materials as “Bojack Horseman meets Joan Didion”—turns a sharp eye on Hollywood, and all of its absurdities, when an actor pledges to lottery off his earnings from an upcoming mega Blockbuster.
📺 ‘Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost’ on Apple TV+: Apparently, I’m weirdly drawn to documentaries by famous actors about their famous parents—from Mariska Hargitay’s ‘My Mom Jayne,’ to this documentary by Ben Stiller about his famous comedian parents. In it, Stiller and his sister uncover recordings and keepsakes from their late parents Upper West Side apartment (similar to the first season of Anderson Cooper’s podcast, about going through his mother’s home), while reflecting on their marriage and relationship to fame.
🎧 “So You Parents Are Old” Podcast: I’m going to get an email from my mom about this recommendation in the next five seconds, but as my mom’s only child (my half-brother and I share a dad), I spend a lot of time thinking about how I’m going to navigate care for my parents, who are in their 70s and 80s respectively. It’s been a tender and touchy subject, but I found a lot of comfort in this new podcast, and am looking forward to future episodes!
It’s hard to believe that it’s been two months since I moved into my home on wheels. In that time, I’ve amassed 3,000 miles on the odometer and more adventures and lessons than I can count. Over the past few days, I’ve been combing through your questions—about what I miss, what I fear, what I’m loving—and have spent time answering them honestly and vulnerably. In making the final edits on this piece, from a trailhead in Sedona, I can hardly believe how much I’ve grown and experienced in such a short time! Read on for answers to 21 (!) of your questions, including:
My loose plans for my route, and whether I miss home
The biggest thing I’m working on right now, for self-growth
What my workouts and running training have looked like in the van
