Itβs reminiscent of a Hitchcock film, with a held tension similar to βRear Windowβ or βRope,β and complicated group dynamics that build to an ending I genuinely didnβt see coming. π§ Hailey Whittersβ Album, βRaisedβ: I love a female country musician who pushes the boundaries so when Hailey Whitterβs album came out last month, I immediately downloaded it for my transatlantic flight. The album is bookended by a tongue-in-cheek allusion to the phrase βwhen pigs fly,β that might be a reference to the decade-plus she spent in Nashville waiting for her songwriting break. Between, itβs full of hits that harken back to early 2000s country.
