Morning Person is a weekly newsletter packed with obsessively-curated recommendations and ideas—let’s get to it!

📺 “Uncoupled” on Netflix: Michael (Neil Patrick Harris) has been with his partner for 17 years, when he is unceremoniously, suddenly dumped. From there, he has to navigate an entirely new dating landscape in New York that calls to mind another breezy show from the same creator (Darren Star), And Just Like That... It isn’t brilliant, but it is fun and bingeable, with a great cast that includes Marsha Gay Harden as a wealthy divorcée who has enlisted NPH to help her sell her apartment.

🎧  “Off Leash” Podcast: Canine cognition researcher Alexandra Horowitz invites “interesting people” and their dogs on walks in this six-episode limited series from Freakonomics. Over the course of these walks, Horowitz explores questions like “Are the names we give our dogs meaningful to them?” and the nature of our relationship with them. It’s low-stakes, sweet, and insightful, and can best be summarized by my favorite comment on their intro podcast, “Would it be so much trouble to include photos of the discussed dogs in show notes?”
