The Sunday Edition is Tuesday’s little sister—off-the-cuff updates I’d bring up over a coffee catch-up with a friend.
Currently writing this in a window seat overlooking the ocean, as I defrost from a freezing sunrise run along the beach. I’ve been on the Oregon Coast since Friday, renting a cabin with friends to celebrate a friend’s baby shower. I love the coast this time of year—the weather is dramatic and unpredictable, so most of our activities have revolved around bundled-up beach strolls, a never-ending Golden Girls puzzle, and outings for fish ‘n’ chips and chowder.
In another world, I would be gearing up for the intense stress of beginning my spring semester. In this one, I decided to take the year off in anticipation of my book release, and from a general desire to slow down a bit. I’m not used to the stillness yet (and am already fighting the urge to fill it), but am looking forward to having the time and space to focus on Morning Person. On that note, I have a favor to ask. This newsletter has always felt like a community project and, as I prepare for the year ahead, I would love your input: What’s working? What isn’t? What would you love to see??
