The Sunday Edition is Tuesday’s little sister—off-the-cuff updates I’d bring up over a coffee catch-up with a friend.
I always thrived on the routine of going into work and, for most of my career, I worked in bustling offices where I was often the first in and last out. I loved arriving early, brewing a cup of coffee and easing into email before the work day officially started. Of course, the pandemic changed everything, and I got used to the ease and coziness of working from home—but I’ve been craving a more balanced routine lately. After putting it off for ages, I finally toured a small co-working place in Portland and joined on the spot. I’ve already loved having an office again. I’m still figuring out a schedule that works for me, since I don’t like leaving Toast alone for too long, but I’m enjoying the excuse to get dressed, chat with new people, and even enjoy a short commute (I’m committing to doing it by bike, as often as possible!).
On that note, this fall for me is all about engaging in easy rituals and tapping back into my practices, while connecting with my community in Portland, post-travels (and creating more opportunities for this community to connect!). Read on for the return of Morning Person Book Club (!), an exclusive fall playlist, a surprise treat, my favorite outfits from the week, and plenty of photos of life lately. Plus, I’d love to get your take on something that’s been on my mind…
