The Sunday Edition is Tuesday’s little sister—off-the-cuff updates I’d bring up over a coffee catch-up with a friend.
I’m writing this as friends are on their way, with pizza and friendship bracelet supplies, to get ready at my house before we head to see Taylor Swift’s “Eras” in theaters. The contrast, from the heaviness around global events feels almost incomprehensible, as a Gazan invasion is so imminent that it may have already happened by the time this post goes live on Sunday. We’re human, so we’re able to swap between heaviness, dissociation, and levity (if we’re lucky), but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a lot to hold. I’m definitely feeling more tender and burnt out than usual. A friend described herself as “wrung out like a towel,” a visual I immediately understood. Take care of yourself, eat soup, hold your loved ones close, laugh when the opportunity arises, and cry when you need to. I’m out of words at the moment, so sharing more photos from the week than usual… take care of yourself today. xx
