The Sunday Edition is Tuesday’s little sister—off-the-cuff updates I’d bring up over a coffee catch-up with a friend.
I’m still buzzing from meeting so many of you on Friday night at our first ever (!) Portland Morning Person event, a sweet and festive holiday book swap at Schoolhouse Electric in Portland. I truly felt like I was in a room with fifty friends, a collection of kind, smart, engaging women who all (!!) remembered to bring a wrapped book for the book swap portion of the evening.
Meanwhile, I was out-of-my-mind excited to chat with so many of you, while also (semi-successfully) orchestrating the logistics of a fifty-person book swap. Schoolhouse provided charcuterie trays from Negotiant, as well as Ghia mocktails and Straightway cocktails. Powell’s was also there with a booth of some of my favorite books, and our November book club author
participated and signed copies of Madwoman! I could barely believe my eyes, and short-circuited in adrenaline and excitement—when I stood to describe the books, I briefly forgot what mine was about. My brain flatlined to, “Ohmygod, books and readers!!!”Keep reading with a 7-day free trial
