The Sunday Edition is Tuesday’s little sister—off-the-cuff updates I’d bring up over a coffee catch-up with a friend.

I’m obsessed with radicchio salads at the moment—this one is from Sebastiano’s!

On Wednesday evening, I grabbed takeout and brought it over to a friend’s house. It had been a cold and miserable day, and we were both in need of some warm food and a cozy catch-up. No sooner had we served ourselves heaping bowls of red and green curry, than she asked me, “Okay, what is with all the gift guides??” I laughed, knowing exactly what she was talking about (and the fact that she had clearly been chomping at the bit to get it out). Earlier in the month, she had made a commitment to do a “no buy November” and realized early on that doing so successfully meant also deleting TikTok and Instagram off her phone, to help guard against impulse purchases. But now, she was noticing the same itch to shop from Substack.
