Sunday Edition: Taking Three Days to Soak, Yoga, and Repeat
Plus the best weeknight chicken and a luteal phase elixir. 💫
The Sunday Edition is Tuesday’s little sister—off-the-cuff updates I’d bring up over a coffee catch-up with a friend.

I arrived at the hot springs on Monday morning to celebrate my friend’s birthday, with the intention of only staying one night. Flash-forward to Thursday, when I finally pulled out of my campsite, fully rejuvenated. I rarely take days off from work (I prefer to work a little everyday since, unsurprisingly, I’m most productive and focused in the morning), but I took the entire day off on Wednesday and did next to nothing.

I used to feel guilty about taking time to rest, but the older I get, I realize how precious and necessary it is to recharge. I started the day with a restorative yoga class, followed by brunch, a soak in the pools, and a long run. When it started raining in the afternoon, I made a hot chocolate and curled up in bed to watch an episode of a show I’d been dying to see (“Pluribus,” it’s so good!). In the middle of the day. In the middle of the week! Who is she?? Maybe take this as your sign to play hooky? Until then, read on for…
A shop-able resource of nearly every item in my van
The elixir I’ve been making for my luteal phase (and an update!)
My new favorite, extremely easy, way to prepare chicken thighs
The total gem of a spot where I stayed

Shop everything in my van. I have never included affiliate links in Morning Person, and never will within posts, but a few weeks ago, I asked if it would be helpful for me to create a dedicated place where I link all the clothes clothes and products I packed in my van. An overwhelming majority of you voted, “Yes!” Because it took a considerable amount of time to create this resource, the links are affiliated to compensate me for my time, but I also included the full name of every product in case you prefer to search the product yourself and avoid affiliate links! Either way, I hope it’s useful!
