The Sunday Edition is Tuesday’s little sister—off-the-cuff updates I’d bring up over a coffee catch-up with a friend.

After months of planning, it’s hard to believe that I leave day after tomorrow for my six-week trip to Bali, Lombok, Japan, and a quick stop in Seoul (!). I’m meeting one of my best friends in Bali, who’s already there and has been texting me photos of the most gorgeous beaches since she arrived. In anticipation of missing my friends back home, not to mention my pup, I packed this week full of plans with them, enjoying ample hikes, lunch dates, and cozy dinners, as well as some of my favorite summertime Portland activities since I won’t be back until nearly October (!). It really struck me this week how grateful I am to live here and, as excited as I am to go adventure, what a wonderful home and community I have to come back to. Toast is staying here with one of his beloved “aunties,” and it gives me such peace of mind knowing he’ll be well taken care of. Speaking of my trip, send tips in the comments! Still doing a lot of research on Seoul, in particular (it looks incredible!).

Sunday Editions may be a bit irregular while I’m traveling, but I’ll still be writing and publishing my weekly Tuesday posts and, rest assured, there will be plenty of photos, tips, and recaps from my trip. See you soon! Until then, here are photos from a sweet week with friends, doing some of my very favorite Portland things.
