I just have to say that taking evening primrose oil daily got rid of my hormonal cystic acne immediately. I never had another bout of it again. I read it in some Facebook group years ago and it changed my life so I’m leaving it here for anyone else who needs it!

Is there a brand you recommend?

I'm dealing with it now and it's really getting to me 😩

I live in Asheville which has just been ravaged by Hurricane Helene. My home wasn't damaged but we still have no power, cell, internet or water. To conserve our emergency supplies and to coordinate my work team, I've come down to Atlanta to stay and triage.

As I watch the press briefings, I am amazed that we are already in blame mode, instead of 'how can I help' mode .

In my life, I've spent so much of my life beating up on myself for decisions made, plans created and my tendency to open my mouth and opine when I have no real idea of the outcome.

I am going to try and incorporate the 'that's a tomorrow problem' and 'how can I can I help' into my mindset.

Both of these allow for the greatest lesson that yoga has ever taught me, to pause, reflect and listen.

Leslie, I'm so glad you had a good time. The pictures were so incredible and the beauty of the world never ceases to astound me. Thanks for bringing us along.

Loved this, Leslie! And would love to hear your reflections on what you packed and how / if you would do it differently next time, please? Desperate to go to Japan!!!

And can I ask. How did you know what to order when all the descriptions were in Japanese? At markets, restaurant etc? That makes me very nervous…!! Thank you!

Many of the menus in Japan have photos of each dish next to them, and Google translate has an amazing feature where you can use your phone camera and it translates the words live on the screen without having to take a picture of everything and process it.

Welcome home, beautiful! I'm so glad my post on skincare and oil cleansing resonated with you. I've noticed such a transformation in my own skin, and I'm excited to hear how it works for you.

P.S. I loved your reflection on tomorrow problems. "It served as a reminder to trust in my capacity to figure things out—while traveling, and at home." YES YES YES!

Hi Leslie! Another question about packing - when I went to Japan a couple of years ago, I noticed no one wore shorts. They seem to dress very conservatively (though certainly different areas are different). Did you find that wearing a crop top / exposing your midriff was OK there?

Yes!! No shorts or spaghetti straps. I didn’t expect that and my tried to remember to wear something that covered my shoulders for shrines and dinners, though I think they’re used to tourists! It was 95 degrees and humid when I was there, so the shorts felt like a necessity some days!

Welcome back! Can't wait to hear more about your adventure. Reading today's post got me excited/nervous/curious about what my experience will be like as I travel to Iceland next month. I'll definitely be looking into that 5 to 1 packing tip you shared!

Thanks for sharing! Curious as I’m going to Japan this week and going to use the same packing method as you. Would you have brought anything different - more or less??

Hi Leslie! Thanks for your generosity and sharing so much (btw, your book has reached the stands of Barcelona bookshops :) ). I struggle with insomnia (have for many years) and travel quite a bit, which doesn’t help. I was wondering how yoúve managed sleep/insomnia while traveling and if you have any tips. Thanks!
