The Sunday Edition is Tuesday’s little sister—off-the-cuff updates I’d bring up over a coffee catch-up with a friend.
It didn’t really feel like summer, for me, until this week. All at once, my garden erupted, figs ripened on the tree in my yard, and long days outside—from dawn to dusk—became the norm. My mom has been in town this week, and on Thursday we headed to Bend for the final (!) stop of my book tour at Roundabout Books, where I chatted with
. Every stop has had its own unique energy, and I felt so at ease for this one, which allowed me to enjoy every moment of it. It was also the first book chat where half the audience had finished the book, which led to some really interesting questions! Thank you to all who joined—it loved meeting each of you! I just got back home from a friend’s birthday barbecue, after driving straight from Bend, and I’m leaving bright and early for an offline camping trip as soon as the sun is up. I’m exhausted, but the kind of sun-burnt, fig drunk, endless-conversations-with-old-and-new-friends kind of tired.
