Sunday Edition: How I Organized This Week with 'Priorities and Possibilities'
Plus an invitation to book club!
The Sunday Edition is Tuesday’s little sister—off-the-cuff updates I’d bring up over a coffee catch-up with a friend.

It was my first full week without school, and it feels amazing to have the pressure of classes and internship completely removed. I wouldn’t say it was entirely chill (as you’ll see below!) but I’ve been in planning mode around some exciting developments for Morning Person and a major life update I’ll share soon! (Clearly, I have trouble sitting still for too long…) One way I kept myself on track was by writing a list of ‘Priorities and Possibilities’ at the start of each day.
For ‘Priorities,’ I wrote a maximum of three things I had to get done. These could include fun things (bake a seed loaf for my writing group, take Toast on a walk) or work/life responsibilities (get car serviced, prep for a meeting). The key, I found, was not over-committing, and being realistic around how long each task would take. A single meeting, for example, might be scheduled for an hour but often takes me 90 minutes, since I pad it with fifteen minutes of prep followed by a fifteen-minute walk, before returning to work.
For ‘Possibilities,’ I jotted down the things I would like to get to, should I find the time. Sell clothes on Poshmark, clean my fridge, answer that one email.
I was amazed by how much more manageable, and enjoyable, it became to tackle my to-do list, with this simple change. I’m even planning on using it to journal about my ‘Priorities and Possibilities’ for the next few months and years. I shared below how I actually applied it each day! But first, a fun book club announcement!
