Sunday Edition: I Made a Huge Design Mistake (Literally)
And my two Black Friday purchases.
And we’re back! After taking a few weeks off from the Sunday Edition, it’s back with off-the-cuff updates I’d bring up over a coffee catch-up with a friend.
“Well, at least you’re good at measuring, right?” The moment my friend said it, we both burst out laughing.
I was beginning to feel nervous that the couch I ordered months ago would be the right size and we both know: I am terrible at measuring. Though fastidious in so many other areas, I am very much a “measure once, hope for the best” kind of gal. I make decisions swiftly from gut instinct (…remember 2022?) which doesn’t always lend itself to perfect interior design choices. In this case, I was set to receive the largest and most expensive/non-refundable furniture purchase I’ve ever made. The closer the date approached, the more I began to fret about its dimensions, specifically its depth. After carefully measuring the length of the L-couch, I had semi-spontaneously hit the check box for “extra deep” cushions thinking only of comfort. Alas, this week I received a couch roughly the size of Texas… read on for photos and other memorable moments from my week:
